This time the rally’s headquarters and service park will both be located in the Rengastie area in Seinäjoki. That makes the rally more compact, which benefits both competitors and spectators. Rengastien Autotarvike is one of Pohjanmaa Rally’s main partners and their business premises are great for the rally organization.
The Route Officers have completed a preliminary route plan. The route consists of eight special stages, and includes a total of 120 kilometres of challenging roads. The drivers will face entirely new challenges, as the stages include some completely new sections compared to previous year. The rally will also feature one super special stage, and the start and finish of the competition will be brought to the city center of Seinäjoki this year.
The rally is part of the FIA ERT series, and drivers from abroad are also expected to attend the rally. The rules are made in accordance with the FIA guidelines, which differ in certain respects from the rules of the Finnish Championship series. The other two ERT series races will take place in Sweden and Denmark.
